Candy Bars

Candy bar - candy shaped like a log or bar, sized and packaged for snacking, and usually covered in chocolate. The interior may include a variety of yummy ingredients, such as chocolate, fudge, cookies, caramel, nougat, toffee, peanut butter, mint cream, wafers, nuts, fruit, coconut, marshmallow, cream filling, crisped rice, or flavorings such as coffee or fruit.

Because they are packaged similarly and sold alongside bar-shaped candy bars, some smaller chocolate-covered, or boxed candies - for example, M&M's, Junior Mints, Rolo, and Skittles - are included in the candy bar section.

Candy Bar Dessert

Bottom Crust:
chocolate wafer cookies, finely crushed, to make 2 cups
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

Crush chocolate wafer cookies, such as by placing in a sturdy plastic bag and rolling with a rolling pin. Melt butter in the microwave, in a covered, microwave-safe dish, or on the stovetop in a small pan over low heat. Mix cookie crumbs, melted butter and sugar together and press onto the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan. Chill for 10 minutes in the fridge, while making filling.

Filling:
8 oz pkg of cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
12 oz tub of frozen whipped topping, thawed, (divide and reserve half for topping)
1 cup chopped chocolate-covered candy bars (your choice!)
3 cups cold milk
2 pkgs of 4-serving size instant chocolate pudding

In medium bowl, whisk sugar and cream cheese together. Fold in half of the tub of whipped topping and spread over the chilled cookie crust. Sprinkle the candy bar pieces over the top and set aside while you make the pudding.
Pour the milk into a large bowl, add the instant pudding mixes and whisk together for 2 mintues until thickened. Pour the pudding over the candy bar pieces and wait for about 5 minutes while it sets.

Topping:
Spread the remaining half tub of whipped topping over the pudding, garnish as desired, and place in the refrigerater for at least 2 hours, and until ready to serve.
